Monrovia Canyon Park - San Diego Alligator Lizard

Encountered this lizard while hiking on the Waterfall Trail. Note the "unbroken" tail on this specimen.
Many Alligator Lizards of this age have lost their tails (a defensive reflex) and regenerated them at least once.
